Hi, I was wondering if anyone has tried trading with a bot live on Bitfinex's margin trading platform via their trading wallet and how the bot generally behaves. When opening a long position with buy(pairs.btc_usd), for example, will the bot buy BTC with only the amount available within the wallet, or will it buy as much as it can using 3.3:1 leverage? And when closing the long with sell(pairs.btc_usd) will the bot sell just enough to close the position, or will it also immediately open a short using the wallet balance as collateral on 3.3:1?
If the bot takes advantage of the leverage, then is there a way to simulate this when backtesting? If it does not, is there any way to force the bot to use leverage?
Any answers are appreciated. Thanks
We don't currently support margin trading at Bitfinex, or any other exchange. We'll be looking to support more order types in the coming weeks/months, though.
Okay. Good to know, thanks. I would be very interested in using a bot on margin if/when you decide to add the functionality.
Looking forward to supporting OKCoin Forward and Bitfinex margin trade
+1 I am also very interested in a Bitfinex Margin bot, which can also go short.
Margin trading is on the roadmap but we don't have an exact ETA yet.
OKCoin integration is next up on our list.
Shouldn't be very difficult to implement margin trading on Bitfinex. What's going on over there, you guys still alive?
Is Huobi API connection finished yet? Bitfinex Margin Trading? Altcoin trading on Poloniex? Does anyone work here anymore?

Realistically the sense I get from admin is that Tradewave's sole mission is reliable uptime on existing products. I'm not aware of any development.
