Why do I have to delete API keys readd, stop start and generally fight with starting a flippen bot?
The user experience for a new person is abysmal in this place. Support is shoddy/slow, bots are not consistent, API to exchanges seem to fail.
Seriously guys this is a bloody joke!
I'm so frustrated I cannot tell you
I keep getting: [2016-12-10 11:39:00] We didn't call your tick() function this time around, because data wasn't received fast enough for the exchanges you selected (kraken). This is usually caused by temporary problems at one of the exchanges and will correct itself.
On BTC-e and Kraken, that is if the bot actually gets past the black hung screen.
How many restarts do you want me to do before I get 1 stable running bot?!@sai @mike_crypto
I've been here for over 3 years and this past 30 days has been absolutely horrid in this regard
I spoke w/ @sia via email and he said he will be spending the weekend working on this; especially with regard to my algo sporadically crashing and taking many restarts.
I'm doing a lot of "extra" stuff in my algo;
external forex data
Any of those could be culprit; but they are all supposed to be supported features.
I have not made any noteworthy changes to my code in about 6 months though and this issue really just recently cropped up. So I'm at a loss.
3 of 5 of my bots crashed at 6:30 AM EST
Honey Badger Master B stayed live.
@N0_Klu3 and other HB subscribers, I'll work with @sai to see to it you're comp'ed extra time once we get this connectivity issue sorted out.
if you haven't already, please send email to email@example.com
after each restart, send update with copy/paste or screen shot from log as to what is happening to help debug the issue
So with [2016-12-10 16:14:00] We didn't call your tick() function this time around, because data wasn't received fast enough for the exchanges you selected (kraken). This is usually caused by temporary problems at one of the exchanges and will correct itself.

Errors do I need to stop and restart the instance?
if you are getting consistent missing 1m ticks you must restart
if you get a blank screen for more than 3 minutes, you must restart (and it will take 30 minutes)
neither issue will self resolve
It took 4 hours and many restarts but all 5 of my bots are live again.
I'm at btce and bitfinex
I'm constantly getting the tick error always.
And now I also have a stuck bot that says it's stopped but still showing in live as a running bot. Going to delete all my API keys.
This is ridiculous
Still tick errors. Over and over every restart
I don't really know about kraken, I don't trade there. but I suspect if you keep restarting it will eventually go through. I have no access to tradewave's backend.
I do know that I woke up to 2 of 5 bots live; one was Master B... so my signal never went down.
it took several dozen restarts over 4 hours but no change of api keys to get them all live again.
sometimes I got blank screen... and it took 30 minutes to "stop"
sometimes I got initization... but then tick failed; in that case it was only taking a few seconds to "stop"
a few times when it did stop it told me I failed to choose an exchange... but that wasn't true because I had.
I sent a copy of every failed start to @sai
I haven't heard from him since Friday when he said he was going to work over the weekend on the issue.
the daily ritual of failed bots since before thanksgiving is getting old, so hopefully this weekend is the last of it
It's happening on both kraken and bitfinex
This is just part of todays trying to start/restart.
Still no luck getting 1 singular bot up and running..
what permissions are you giving your keys?
this is finex:
at btce you have to give "trade" and "info" permissions
not sure what kraken takes
Kraken is finally up and running this morning.
But now I get this on the bitfinex bot:
[2016-12-11 06:41:00] ALERT Channel A signal at btce failed, switching channels...
[2016-12-11 06:41:00] ALERT Channel B signal at bitfinex connected, beware additional latency issues.
Guessing one of your bots has failed lol.
Another day another failure
